Late 18th century Georgian antique sterling silver cream jug by Solomon Hougham 1794.
Bright cut engraved creamer with floral detailing and a vacant cartouche below the spout. There has been no engraving removal within cartouche area subsequently no thinning. Slightly bulbous form with swan neck tapered handle. The cream jug has been assayed just below spout with a full set of hallmarks. They include duty mark of George III, makers mark, passant lion mark, date letter (t) and London town mark.
The silver cream jug is in nice condition. Good proportions with it sitting flat and level. Engraved detailing is slightly rubbed in places but generally clear. Assay marks are rubbed slightly, on the date and makers mark more so but still identifiable.
